Memorial Hall

The Ellen Pettit Memorial Hall, known as The Memorial Hall is located on the High Street opposite the petrol station. This hall is well suited for events and parties with a capacity for about 60 people seated, although it can accommodate up to 100 people standing. The hall’s location also makes it suitable for smaller events in Woburn Sands such as fundraising events and small classes. There is no parking attached to the hall. Parking is available in Woburn Sands, subject to the normal restrictions, including a free shopper’s car park within walking distance. Access to the hall is wheelchair-friendly, but unfortunately there is no fully-accessible toilet on the premises. The cost of hiring the hall will depend on your requirements. The standard charges for hire are £13 per hour during weekdays (£14 from 1st April) and £16.50 per hour on weekends (£18 from 1st April). The cost to hire for a children's party is £66 (£70 from 1st April) and this allows up to 4 hours of hire. Other social events and commercial bookings are priced differently. You will be advised on the cost after making an enquiry. Prices range from a 2-hour minimum to an all-day rate and will vary according to the type of event. The hall is unique in that it has a small raised stage area with curtains and is well equipped with tables and chairs. There is also a fully fitted kitchen with oven and fridge.

The Memorial Hall is suitable for baby groups, corporate events, exhibitions, music practice, music events, meetings, parties, weddings, sports and fitness, societies and clubs, theatre productions and training and workshops.
