Our Guildhall Wedding Diary is currently closed until late Spring 2027 whilst renovation work is underway in our Concert Hall. The Island Blockhouse and Chapel remain available throughout 2026

The historic oak panelled Council Chamber is perfect for weddings and receptions. It is also used for meetings, conferences and concerts. Built in 1938, it was originally the magistrate’s court and is now used for Council meetings and civic events. This room can also be used in conjunction with the Committee “Balcony” Room for wedding receptions. 

PLEASE NOTE: Our spaces are available for hire for various purposes, and are also used for internal bookings, the calendar is intended as a guide for those booking our spaces for meeting etc. Wedding and Blessing bookings are a more bespoke process, following your enquiry our Wedding Officer will be in touch to discuss your options.
