Island Centre

Originally a school until 1940, the Town Council now runs the Island Centre as a community and commercial space. The hall can be hired for a wide range of social and community events. From exercise and painting classes, it also caters for events such as markets, children’s parties, exhibitions and live entertainment. It is within walking distance of the Island car park.

The following may be applicable (priced on application) for out of office hours events or large-scale events and/or where alcohol is consumed:

• Out of office hours open/lock up
• Duty Manager
• Post event cleaning
• Security/Security lock-up
